Four parliamentary committees scheduled to convene today

KATHMANDU: Four separate committees of the Federal Parliament are holding meetings today, including the International Relations and Tourism Committee, the Federal Empowerment and National Concerns Committee, the Legislative Management Committee, and the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee.

The International Relations and Tourism Committee is set to meet at 8:45 a.m. in Singha Durbar to hold discussions with the Foreign Minister and the Foreign Secretary on foreign visits and other current matters.

Later, at 11:00 a.m., the Federal Empowerment and National Concerns Committee will convene to review the 34th Annual Report of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) for the fiscal year 2080/81.

The Legislative Management Committee will meet at 11:30 a.m. in its designated meeting room to examine the draft report of the Ships (Operation and Management) Bill, 2081.

At the same time, the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee will conduct a session focused on evaluating the monitoring of reconstruction efforts in the Barpak region, which were undertaken following the earthquake.
