SAPTARI: Chairman of the Janamat Party, Dr Chandrakant (CK) Raut, has said that a new republic and full autonomy of the provinces are essential for a political outlet and sustainable development of the country.

At the press conference organised by the Janamat Press Association here in Rajbiraj today, he stated that the party has presented a clear framework, through the party’s manifesto it released, to address the structural problems existing at the federal, provincial and local levels, in view of the upcoming elections.

Chairman Dr Raut said his party has presented a ‘new republic agenda’ for the country’s development and progress while completing the journey of good governance and prosperity.

He mentioned that corruption would end when a Cabinet composed of a directly elected Prime Minister and experts is formed.

“The country is currently in crisis, and that crisis is also multidimensional. The constitution itself has been attacked. Therefore, it is time for everyone to think seriously,” said the Janamat Party Chairman Raut.

He stated that in the context of full autonomy of the province, the Janamat Party has expressed the view that education, health, agriculture, industry, resources and administrative rights should be fully transferred to all provinces including Madhes.

Raut, the candidate from Saptari Constituency No. 2, while releasing the manifesto through the press conference, expressed the view that even if he promotes programmes for job creation, administrative reform, and people-oriented development, problems will persist until full autonomy is granted to the province.
