KATHMANDU: The government has announced financial assistance of Rs 1 million for each family of those who lost their lives during the Gen-Z movement.
Newly appointed Prime Minister Sushila Karki made the decision while assuming office at Singha Durbar today, according to Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal.
Aryal stated that around 72 people, including protesters and others, were killed across the country during the demonstrations on Tuesday and Wednesday.
He further said that employees have been urged to work in line with the sentiments of the youth and assured that damaged infrastructures will be gradually rebuilt.
