KATHMANDU: In a Cabinet meeting held on Monday, the government decided to form a committee to investigate the violent incidents that occurred during the Gen Z protests.

The decision to set up the investigation committee was made during the ongoing meeting at Baluwatar, specifically to look into the events and violence that took place on Monday.

“A committee will be formed today. The Home Minister has already submitted his resignation. Most likely, a new Home Minister will be appointed tomorrow,” a minister said.

“We are currently discussing the composition of the team and who will lead it,” he added.
