KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Central Committee meeting, which began on Thursday, is continuing today in Kathmandu.

On the first day, Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ proposed holding a special general convention in December to restructure the party and select new leadership.

However, Senior Vice Chair Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Deputy General Secretary Janardan Sharma opposed Prachanda’s proposal.

The party has divided discussions into 10 groups, and members have been sharing their views since Thursday.

Today, the group leaders will present their official positions in the meeting.
