KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has officially recognized the party of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Harka Sampang.

The Commission granted formal status to Sampang’s Shram Sanskriti Party on Sunday.

Sampang personally attended the Commission to receive the party’s official recognition.

The party’s election symbol is soil.

Sampang had submitted the party registration application to the Commission on September 28.
