BIRGUNJ: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has stated that Limpiyadhura, Kalapani, and Lipulekh are part of Nepali territory, and neighboring friendly countries should not be concerned about it.
Speaking at a press conference organized today by the Nepal Press Union, Parsa, Minister Lekhak referred to the agreement under which India and China planned to use Nepal’s Lipulekh territory as a bilateral trade route.
He said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s objection to the agreement was justified.
“Limpiyadhura, Kalapani, and Lipulekh are Nepali lands. Claiming our land as ours should not affect our relations with any country,” he said.
“There is no reason for friendly countries like India and China to be worried. That land belongs to us, and we are clear about it,” he added.
Minister Lekhak further clarified that Prime Minister Oli was right to raise objections regarding the agreement concerning Nepali territory during his visit to China.
He emphasized that Nepal will not allow its land to be used against any nation.
