KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal visited the private residence of President Ram Chandra Poudel in Boharatar today.

During the Gen Z protest on September 9, the President’s residence in Boharatar was subjected to vandalism and arson.

Minister Aryal assured the President’s family that the damaged property would be repaired, following discussions with them.

The inspection was attended by Chief District Officer Ishwar Raj Poudel of Kathmandu District Administration Office, Armed Police Force Chief Raju Aryal, and other officials.

They also visited the Balaju Police Station, which was damaged during the Gen Z protest.

Reconstruction of the station has begun with local community cooperation. However, the police chief informed Home Minister Aryal that the land ownership of the station remains unresolved.
