KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives is taking place today.
The meeting will take place at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor at 1 pm.
The agenda for today’s meeting includes the presentation of the ’34th Annual Report of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, FY 2080-081′, to be presented on behalf of Prime Minister KP Oli.
In addition, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak will introduce a proposal to consider the ‘Armed Police Force, Nepal Bill, 2081’.
MP Sher Bahadur Kunwar will raise an issue of public importance, directing attention to Minister for Health and Population, Pradeep Poudel.
Kunwar will highlight that “poor and marginalized citizens in some districts of Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces have been receiving free services from various hospitals due to insufficient funding from the Government of Nepal and provincial governments, and it is crucial that these services continue.”
Similarly, MP Rajendra Bajgain will present a motion of urgent public importance on the issue: “Due to the threat posed by monkeys and wild boars in rural areas of Nepal, which have destroyed crops and endangered the safety of farmers, it is necessary to develop and implement policies to ensure agricultural security, manage wildlife, and maintain environmental balance by providing a long-term solution to this problem.”
