Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Dahal-Nepal group) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the House of Representatives will be reinstated by the Supreme Court decision.

Addressing a provincial level gathering of party cadres here today, he said he was confident that the court would make the right interpretation of the Constitution, and reinstate the parliament.

Stating that interaction held with constitution experts, former justices and other learned people led to a belief that the lower house will be reinstated, Dahal said the citizens should raise voices when the Constitution and democracy are at stake.

Dahal also said that the Election Commission, as a constitutional body should decide on the matter of authenticity of the NCP as per the law. He claimed that the NCP and its election symbol, Sun, should be given to the group he leads, as it holds a majority of the central members.
