LALITPUR: In Lalitpur Constituency No. 3, Dr. Bijay Pant from the Ujyalo Nepal Party, Dr. Toshima Karki from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and Sandan Thapa Magar from the CPN-UML have filed their nominations.
The candidates registered their nominations on Tuesday by reaching the Election Officer’s Office in Patan.
Dr. Pant received his ticket from Ujyalo Nepal Party Chairperson Kulman Ghising on Monday. Pant is a founding central committee member of the Ujyalo Nepal Party and was actively involved in Dr. Govinda KC’s medical education reform movement.
In this constituency, RSP’s Dr. Karki had previously been elected. She is once again contesting the election from Constituency No. 3. During the previous term, she served as the state minister for Health.
This is her second bid to become a Member of Parliament. Dr. Karki is also a central committee member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
