HETAUDA: Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama and Provincial Assembly Member Indra Bahadur Baniya have filed their candidacies for the position of parliamentary party leader of the Nepali Congress in Bagmati Province.
Despite losing the confidence of the parliamentary party just on Tuesday, Chief Minister Lama has once again registered his candidacy for the leadership position.
Earlier, Baniya had also filed his candidacy for the same role. There are 37 Congress members in the Bagmati Provincial Assembly. Of them, 22 lawmakers stood against Chief Minister Lama on Tuesday.
According to the election committee, voting for the parliamentary leader will be held from 2 PM to 3 PM today.
