KATHMANDU: A coalition of twelve leftist political parties, led by the CPN (Maoist Centre), is set to stage a protest in Kathmandu today in support of the Palestinian people.

The demonstration will begin at 1:00 PM at Shantibatika, Ratnapark, responding to reports of nearly 55,000 civilian deaths in recent Israeli attacks.

Major parliamentary parties such as the CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist), and Rastriya Janamorcha will join the protest alongside non-parliamentary leftist groups, including those led by Netra Bikram Chand and Mohan Baidya, both known for their hardline communist views.

The protest aims to condemn Israel’s ongoing military actions and express solidarity with Palestinians. Organizers have called on the international community to act swiftly to halt the violence and protect innocent lives.
