JANAKPUR: Madhesh Province Chief Minister Satishkumar Singh has submitted his resignation, announcing it during the Provincial Assembly session on Tuesday.

The assembly meeting had been called to conduct a vote of confidence.

Following Singh’s resignation, Speaker Ramchandra Mandal informed the assembly that the confidence vote agenda had been removed.

While resigning, Chief Minister Singh addressed the assembly, commenting on exaggerated discussions, demands for clarification, and character assassination surrounding his resignation.
