Kathmandu: Agni Sapkota, Vice-Chair of the CPN (Maoist Center), has accused the government of moving toward authoritarianism. Sapkota claimed that the two major ruling parties—the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress—are attempting to consolidate control over all state institutions.
He specifically accused Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli of trying to bring national institutions under his personal control.
Sapkota criticized the move to remove Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, calling it retaliatory and ill-intentioned.
