KATHMANDU: The secretariat meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre) has begun at the party’s central office in Parisdanda.

The meeting will deliberate on the political situation following the Gen Z protests, issues of party unity and polarization, the date of the general convention, and procedures for delegate selection.

The party’s central committee meeting held on September 26 and 27 had decided to dissolve the central committee and transform it into a convention organizing committee.

Under the coordination of Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda,” the party has scheduled a special general convention for December.
