KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress has begun a meeting of its office-bearers and former office-bearers at party president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha.
The meeting will focus on contemporary political issues and internal matters of the party. Key leaders including Shekhar Koirala, Bal Krishna Khand, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Agriculture Minister Ramnath Adhikari, and Energy Minister Deepak Khadka are in attendance.
The gathering comes amid rising dissatisfaction within Congress over the government’s performance.While several leaders have criticized the government’s direction, Deuba has taken a more conciliatory approach.
Notably, Shekhar Koirala has begun talks with the opposition regarding possible alternatives to the current government.
