KATHMANDU: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel has called on the media to help create an environment conducive to the upcoming elections.
During an interaction with editors and representatives from various media outlets at Singha Durbar today, Minister Kharel said the government is fully prepared to hold the elections on March 5, 2026.
He urged journalists to play a constructive role in fostering a positive election mood. “The election will be held on schedule. I request media professionals to help build the right environment for it,” Minister Kharel said, adding, “There is no alternative to elections if the country is to move forward.”
He further expressed confidence that all necessary preparations are in place and that political parties remain committed to conducting the elections successfully.
