KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizen, Shraddha Shrestha, assumed the office on Friday. After taking the oath of office and secrecy at President’s Office, Sheetalniwas, Minister Shrestha reached the ministry to assume office in Singha Durbar on Friday itself.
The Minister decided to endorse the revised draft of the ‘National Gender Auditing Work Procedure-2082’ which was prepared for strengthening governance by taking into consideration the gender accountability. As per the work procedure, the policy, programmes, structures, decision making and workplace requires gender auditing.
Also the senior manager at Nepal Tourism Board, Minister Shrestha has earned higher education in economic development from the Michigan State University, USA. She also worked as a national coordinator of the sustainable tourism project under the UN.
