PATAN: A team comprising Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Anil Kumar Sinha, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, and Political Advisor to the Prime Minister, Ajay Bhadra Khanal, today inspected damaged central party office of the Nepali Congress.
After inspecting the party office, Minister Sinha stressed the need of making efforts to give an outlet to the country in present context.
“Political parties should involve in giving a political outlet to the country. The country is now at crisis. We have focused our attention for election. Expectation and suggestions of political parties is needed on what type of environment the government should create,” he opined.
Similarly, Minister Kharel shared that the government has created environment for the election to the House of Representatives, adding dialogue between the government and major political parties was underway.
“The NC has been supporting the government participating in the discussion called by the government. We have been discussing with all political parties on how to make the election fair. The government has been making all possible efforts to create election environment and it will build trust-worthy environment,” he argued.
Minister Kharel mentioned that the government has been holding discussion with all stakeholders to create election environment.
Expressing sorrow over damages caused to the NC party office during the Gen Z protest, he added that they visited the party office to enquire about the reconstruction of the party office building as per Prime Minister Sushila Karki’s wish.
NC Vice-President Dhan Raj Gurung welcomed the ministers and laid emphasis on impartial election.
Joint General-Secretary Badri Prasad Pandey, Treasurer Umesh Shrestha, among others briefed the team about the damages caused during Gen Z protest.
