KATHMANDU: The National Assembly is scheduled to meet today at 1:15 pm at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

The primary agenda for the session includes a proposal by Communications and Information Technology Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung to begin discussions on the ‘Media Council Bill, 2024’, along with the Legislative Management Committee’s report.

After the discussion, Minister Gurung will present a proposal to pass the bill. The legislation is anticipated to spark considerable debate as it aims to regulate and oversee media activities in the country.
