KATHMANDU: The National Assembly, the upper house of Nepal’s Federal Parliament, is holding a meeting today (Thursday) at 1:15 PM at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

During the session, lawmaker Jag Prasad Sharma is set to present a resolution proposal calling for improved access to drinking water across the country and the establishment of a domestic bleaching powder industry.

Also on the agenda, National Assembly Secretary Dr. Surendra Aryal will table the message forwarded by the House of Representatives regarding the Appropriation Bill, 2082.

Moreover, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel will formally present the Appropriation Bill, 2082 before the National Assembly, as per Sub-rule (2) of Rule 133(a) under the National Assembly Rules, 2075.
