KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has called a meeting of its Central Working Committee (CWC) for tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the party headquarters in Sanepa.

A notice issued today by Krishna Prasad Paudel, chief secretary of the NC party office, informed all committee members about the session.

The meeting is expected to discuss the country’s political situation following the Gen Z protest, the party’s stance on the March 5 election schedule, and the growing internal debate over whether a special general convention is necessary.

One faction within the NC has already launched a signature campaign to press for the convention, signaling possible friction inside the party.
