KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is convening a meeting of its Central Working Committee (CWC) today (Sunday) at 1 p.m. at the party’s central office in Sanepa, which sustained partial damage during the recent Gen Z movement.

The session will bring together office bearers, elected members, and invited members of the committee.

Although the official agenda has not been disclosed, this marks the party’s first CWC gathering since the Gen Z protests shook the political establishment.

The meeting carries added weight as it coincides with internal moves by a faction of leaders, including General Secretary Gagan Thapa, who are spearheading a signature campaign to demand a special general convention of the party.
