KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has demanded that the minister involved in the bribe seeking scandal be dismissed.
At a programme organized by the NC’s Department of Intellectual and Professionals on disaster management on Monday, Thapa said the Prime Minister should sack Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Raj Kumar Gupta for his alleged involvement in a bribe seeking case and the leakage of its audio tape.
Thapa viewed that Minister Gupta should be sacked and a probe should be initiated to book those involved in the wrongdoing.
On the occasion, Thapa said that the judiciary should be restructured while amending the constitution.
Likewise, Thapa termed the disciplinary acts in the Nepali Congress as a new episode of Kot Parva and added that this would rather weaken the party.
He also said that more challenges were visible in the time of disasters as all three layers of governments did not keep the public space empty.
