KATHMANDU: Bhishma Raj Angdembe, leader of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party, has stated that Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura are undisputed Nepali territories, and demanded a clear and firm stance from the Government of Nepal regarding their return.

Leader Angdembe’s remarks came during today’s session of the House of Representatives, following a clarification by Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal regarding the statements made by Prime Minister Balendra Shah during a parliamentary question-and-answer session on May 31. Angdembe emphasized that the government must initiate robust diplomatic efforts to reclaim the encroached Nepali land.

Furthermore, Angdembe noted that while the opposition would support the government’s positive initiatives, the tendency to provide vague answers on sensitive territorial matters is unacceptable. Reminding the House that the Nepali Congress has historically prioritized national interest over party politics during times of national crisis and pride, he made it clear that the party will maintain the same policy toward the current government.
