KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has reiterated that the party’s 15th general convention should be held as scheduled in the month of December, without any delay.

Speaking at the central committee meeting today, he asked why Nepali Congress cannot move forward when other political parties are already preparing for their conventions in the same month.

“If other parties are conducting their conventions in December, there is no reason for us to delay. To give Congress a new direction and fresh prospects, we must hold our convention on schedule,” Koirala emphasized.

He noted that the party’s general secretary had shared some inputs and that the central committee is expected to make final decisions soon.
