KATHMANDU: Within the Nepali Congress, members have demanded the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.

The demand comes after the Gen Z protests in Baneshwor and across the country, during which police action led to the deaths of more than a dozen people.

Central committee member Govinda Pokharel called for Lekhak’s resignation on social media platform X, stating: “The Home Minister must resign immediately. If he does not, the party should recall him without delay.”
