KATHMANDU:The ruling Nepali Congress has convened an emergency meeting of its current and former office-bearers.

Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba called the meeting at his residence in Budhanilkantha for 5 PM, party deputy general secretary Jeevan Pariyar confirmed.

“This is an urgent meeting called for 5 PM,” he said.

The meeting was summoned to discuss the recent Gen Z protests against the social media ban, during which several protesters lost their lives.
