KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of party office-bearers.
According to Deputy General Secretary Jeevan Pariyar, the meeting has been scheduled for 9 AM on Monday. The meeting, to be held at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha, is expected to discuss current political issues and the upcoming parliamentary session starting Tuesday.
One of the key topics expected to be discussed is the recent controversy involving the Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.
Following the arrest of Joint Secretary Tirtha Raj Bhattarai in a visit visa scam, the spotlight has turned to the Home Minister’s secretariat, with increasing calls for the Minister’s resignation. The matter is likely to come up during the discussions.
