KATHMANDU: Umesh Prasad Yadav, a central member of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) and a former minister, has joined the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), Nepal.
JSP Nepal Chairperson Upendra Yadav welcomed him into the party during a program held at the party’s central office in Balkumari on Tuesday.
Yadav was elected from Saptari Constituency No. 3 in the second Constituent Assembly election of 2070 BS. He later served as Minister of Irrigation in the Prachanda-led government.
