BHAKTAPUR: The Eighth General Convention of the Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party is set to begin today.

According to the party, the convention will run until March 3. Sarojraj Gosain, a central committee member, mentioned that the event will involve in-depth discussions on both national and international matters, followed by the approval of various agendas.

Delegates, observers, and members from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, and all seven provinces across the nation will participate in the convention.

Gosain further noted that a rally featuring cultural performances will start at 10:00 AM from Kamalbinayak to Suryabinayak in Bhaktapur, proceeding towards Koteshwor in Kathmandu.

The rally will culminate in the inauguration ceremony at 1:00 PM at Sallaghari in Bhaktapur.

Narayanman Bijukchhe has led the party since its founding in 2031 BS.
