KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has called an emergency meeting of its Central Working Committee. According to the party, the meeting has been scheduled for 1 PM today at the party’s central office.

Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel said that all office bearers, members, invited members, and presidents of all seven provincial committees have been instructed to attend the meeting.

The meeting has been called to adopt a condolence motion following the death of Nepali Congress leader Mohammad Aftab Alam, who passed away early this morning at Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) Hospital.
