KATHMANDU: The Central Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress has been postponed once again.
The meeting, which was scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, was deferred, party General Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel confirmed.
According to him, the meeting has now been rescheduled for Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the party’s central office.
The postponement comes amid unresolved disagreements over the schedule of the party’s general convention.
A meeting called on Friday had also been postponed.
Within the Nepali Congress, the establishment faction favors holding the general convention immediately after elections, while the faction led by the General Secretaries supports holding the regular convention in December.
The two sides have yet to reach a consensus.
