KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has expressed grief over the passing of leader Dhundiraj Shastri and decided to lower the party flag to half-mast.

An emergency meeting of the party central committee this morning expressed sorrow over the demise of former minister and socialist thinker Shastri.

The Congress has decided to lower its flag to half-mast on June 18, 19, and 20 and close its offices on June 19.
