Newly appointed Health and Water Supply Minister Mehta assumes office

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Minister for Health and Population and Water Supply, Nisha Mehta, has assumed office. After taking the oath of office and secrecy at a special ceremony organized at the President’s House, Shital Niwas, she reached the ministry to take charge.

The employees of the Ministry welcomed her. A nurse by profession, she has been affiliated with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) since its establishment. She was elected as a proportional representative member of the House of Representatives from the Madhesi cluster of the RSP.

The 38-year-old Mehta, from Inaruwa, Sunsari, has completed her master’s degree in nursing from India.
