KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said he will not comment on the corruption case filed against former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, as it is now a matter before the court.

Speaking to journalists today at Biratnagar Airport, Thapa stressed that the case must be resolved respectfully through judicial proceedings.

Thapa emphasized the need to conclude the active membership renewal process of the Nepali Congress ahead of its upcoming General Convention. He called on all party leaders to ensure that membership updates and decisions are finalized within their respective constituencies.

Reiterating the importance of leadership accountability, Thapa urged Congress leaders to fulfill their responsibilities on time. He also highlighted the collective effort being made for the success of the current government and stressed that the government must deliver on public expectations.

“The ongoing work of the government should be reviewed and evaluated, and the administration must work to win the people’s trust,” he stated.
