POKHARA: Since the nomination of candidates for the House of Representatives election, no complaints related to violations of the Election Code of Conduct have been registered in Kaski district so far.

Rudra Neupane, information officer at the Election Office in Pokhara, Kaski, said that while political parties are engaged in internal election preparations, no formal complaints have been received to date.

Neupane added that an Election Code of Conduct Monitoring Committee has been formed in the district to ensure effective implementation of the code. The committee is coordinated by the Chief Election Officer, with the Chief District Officer serving as co-coordinator. Its members include the assistant chief district officer as monitoring officer, the chief treasury controller, and the heads of the district security agencies.

Kaski, which has three constituencies, currently has 49 candidates contesting the election.

Although the official campaign period runs from February 16 to March 1, political parties have already begun preparatory activities such as setting up campaign offices and interacting with voters.

The Election Office further informed that it is carrying out necessary groundwork to ensure the election is conducted in a fair, peaceful, and fear-free environment while closely monitoring compliance with the Election Code of Conduct.
