KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli said that his mobile phone was seized by the army until interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki was sworn in.

Speaking at an interaction with editors organized by Press Chautari Nepal, Oli revealed that the army had confiscated his phone.

“After I resigned, I was under army protection,” Oli said. “Until the Prime Minister’s oath-taking, I could not access my phone. It had been seized. That is why I was somewhat out of contact until the evening of the September 12.”
