KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) vice-chair Agni Prasad Sapkota has accused the KP Oli-led government of tarnishing Nepal’s reputation on the international stage.

Speaking at a public event on Saturday, Sapkota claimed that the government had already failed in its duties.

“Our attention is not currently on the government, but technically it exists,” Sapkota said. “Government has lost both political and moral legitimacy and has been erased from the people’s minds. This government has become a stain on the nation and has damaged its standing in the international community.”

He also remarked that Prime Minister Oli’s upcoming visit to India was arranged only after repeated appeals.

“India extended the invitation only after much pleading. This government has poor relations even with both neighbours and remains obscure in matters of international relations.

It seems the visit was secured through repeated requests and certain commitments,” he added.
