KATHMANDU: KP Sharma Oli has won the chairmanship of the CPN (UML), securing a third term as party chief.

Oli was first elected in 2014 and re-elected at the party’s 10th general convention in Chitwan.

This time, Oli received 1,663 votes, while his rival Ishwar Pokhrel secured 564.

The vote margin between them stands at 1,099. The official announcement of the results is yet to be made.
