KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has urged party leaders and workers to stay vigilant against forces attempting to split the party.

Speaking at the ongoing central committee meeting on Monday, Oli warned that both internal and external elements are trying to divide the party, and emphasized the need to avoid falling into their trap.

He said they engage strictly in internal party discussions and must advance the party by clearly defining its ideological goals.

He also highlighted that the party is undergoing transformation and appealed to leaders not to get caught up in petty differences.

According to the party’s publicity chief Rajendra Gautam, Oli urged central committee leaders and workers not to be distracted by minor disputes.

It was added that during Oli’s meeting with former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, many issues were discussed openly and clearly. Oli said there are no differences among them.

Oli also encouraged central committee members to share their views on the statute amendment issue. He asked everyone to express their opinions and stressed the importance of in-depth discussion on these matters.
