KATHMANDU: National Assembly (NA) member Bamdev Gautam drew the attention of the government to introduce programmes that could meet the expectations of the citizens.
Deliberating on the principles and priorities of Appropriation Bill (except for tax) for the upcoming fiscal year in the National Assembly’s meeting today, Gautam cautioned that another governance system could be established if the leadership fails to establish socials.
Thus, he pressed for introducing programmes that align with the vision of socialism as envisaged in the constitution.
He also saw the need for the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML), the ruling parties who had also played a leading role in promulgation of constitution, to contemplate about it seriously.
Furthermore, he urged the incumbent government not to delay anymore to announce socialism as envisaged in the constitution.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly (NA), the upper house of the Federal Parliament, has today concluded deliberations on the principles and priorities (except tax) of the Appropriation Bill for Fiscal Year 2025-26.
Lawmakers Sonam Gelzen Sherpa, Ananda Prasad Dhungana, Jayanti Devi Rai, Puja Chaudhary, Manarupa Sharma, Jitjung Basnet, Udya Bahadur Bohara, Krishna Prasad Paudel, Ghanashyam Rijal, Yubaraj Sharma, Durga Gurung, Bishnu Devi Pudasaini, Urmila Aryal and Indira Devi Gautam took part in the deliberations.
