PM inquires on installation of martyrs’ statues in parliament building

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has received information on the progress made so far for the installation of the statues of Gen-Z Movement martyrs in the premises of parliament building.

On Thursday, PM Karki had a meeting with ministers and officials from relevant agencies in Singha Durbar to discuss the establishment of the martyrs’ statues in the premises of the under-construction parliament building.

Participants in the discussion included Finance Minister Rameshore Khanal, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Minister for Water Supply Dr. Madan Pariyar, Minister for Urban Development Kumar Ingnam, Secretary at the Federal Parliament Padma Prasad Pandey, Secretary at PM’s Office Govinda Bahadur Karki, Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay, Secretary at Ministry of Urban Development Gopal Sigdel, and Secretary at Ministry of Law Parashwar Dhungana, among others.

Secretary Sigdel provided information on the identified locations and potential designs for the statues, requesting suggestions and guidance.
PM Karki instructed the revision of the master plan for the parliament building and the construction works be forwarded without delay.
