KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has called a tripartite meeting today involving representatives from the government, political parties, and various Gen Z groups.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 4 PM this afternoon at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.
This will be the first time since taking office on September 12 that Prime Minister Karki brings together political parties and Gen Z representatives for a joint discussion.
Earlier, before the Tihar festival, she had held talks with party leaders, but Gen Z representatives were not invited to that meeting.
According to officials, today’s discussions will focus on ensuring the success of the March 5 elections, defining the roles each sector must play, and addressing the demands raised by Gen Z groups in the changed context.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel said the joint meeting has been organized to create a conducive atmosphere for the elections.
He added that the government has been holding a series of dialogues and consultations with political parties and stakeholders to ensure successful polls.
