KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has finalized the names of three ministers for her new cabinet.

According to the appointments, Rameshore Khanal has been named Minister of Finance, Om Prakash Aryal will serve as Minister of Home Affairs and Law, and Kulman Ghising has been appointed Minister of Energy, Urban Development, and Physical Infrastructure.

All three ministers are scheduled to be sworn in on Monday, the day after Prime Minister Karki herself assumed office.

Kulman Ghising is the former Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority and is widely credited with ending long hours of power cuts in the country.

Om Prakash Aryal, a lawyer by profession, previously served as the legal advisor to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Rameshore Khanal is a former Finance Secretary and a respected figure in Nepal’s economic policy sphere.
