PM Karki visits families of Gen Z protest martyrs

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki paid tribute to those who lost their lives during the Gen Z Movement by visiting the homes of the victims’ families on Thursday.

She reached the residence of Kanchi Nagarkoti in Syambhu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, the home of Saurabh Kumar Shrestha in Baneshwar, and the residence of Buddhibahadur Tamang in Maitrinagar, Kirtipur-2.

During her visit, the Prime Minister met family members, extended condolences, and assured them of government support.

Speaking to the bereaved families, Karki pledged that the sacrifices made during the Gen Z Movement would not go in vain and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fulfilling the dreams of the martyrs.

She also urged the families to inform the government of any difficulties they might face, assuring that their concerns would be taken care of.

Minister for Communication and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel accompanied the Prime Minister during the visit.

Both leaders expressed their condolences by offering garlands and observing silence in memory of the deceased.

Family members also briefed the Prime Minister and the Minister about their hardships and appealed for continued government attention to their concerns.
