KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki said the government is fully focused on ensuring a peaceful and fear-free election on March 5, 2026.
Speaking at a Nepal Sambat event in Basantapur on Wednesday, she said the government is in constant dialogue with political parties and the Gen Z community to normalize the post-uprising situation.
Karki clarified that prioritizing elections does not mean ignoring corruption and governance issues.
“We are working within the Constitution to address the Gen Z movement’s call for integrity and accountability,” she said, urging collective effort to safeguard democracy and curb corruption.
