KATHMANDU: The Prime Minister’s Office has instructed facilitation of revenue payments for the dedicated trunk line.
It has directed the Ministry of Energy and the Nepal Electricity Authority to listen to industrialists’ reviews.
The directive is based on discussions between the Prime Minister, Finance Minister, and the President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
On November 6, the Prime Minister’s Office sent a letter to the Ministry of Energy directing necessary facilitation.
This follows discussions on November 2 between Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kulman Ghising, and FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal.
The Prime Minister’s Office has instructed the Ministry and the Authority to simplify revenue payments and arrange a system to hear industrialists’ feedback.
The FNCCI has also been requested to assist in implementing the agreement.
