KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has firmly rejected any association with crony capitalism or interest groups.
Speaking during a clarification session after the government’s response to discussions on policies and programs in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Oli stated, “It is not capitalism; we are bringing humanism and socialism. The current government does not promote capitalism. For us, people are more important than money.”
This statement follows allegations made by Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa, who claimed on April 15 that middlemen and brokers have access to the Prime Minister’s private affairs.
